Just sitting here wondering about this question and realised if I think about it others must do also!
I subscribe to Audible and I use the Overdrive app to borrow library books from time to time but nothing can beat the smell and feel of a book.
I was talking to the manager of a library recently and we got onto the talk of ebooks. She was telling me as a result smaller libraries are opening less hours. I find this very sad. I remember, as a kid, going to the library to do my homework then staying on and getting lost in a book. I would go on adventures with George, Anne, Julian, Dick and Timmy the dog – better known as Enid Blyton’s ‘Famous Five’. I would hide behind the cushions while reading R.L. Stines ‘Goosebumbs’. I’d be intrigued while reading the Encyclopedia Britannica about the Ancient Greeks -this lead to my degree in Classical Civilisation.
Well, being that I am Rambling Lisa, I have rambled on for long enough. But my question to you is Ebook, Audio book or the good old fashioned book we grew up with.
