Synopsis

With filthy hair all over his face and horrid plots growing in his mind, Mr Twit is one of the nastiest people you’ll ever meet and Mrs Twit is just as bad and even uglier!

But they don’t stop at tricking each other: neighbouring children and even the local birds are in danger, and that’s where the Muggle-Wumps come in. This family of monkeys has had enough of the Twits’ tricks and, with the help of the handsome Roly-Poly Bird, they decide it’s time for sweet revenge…

First Published in 1980 I remember reading this as a child, so when I saw it in a Secondhand Book Fair I had to buy it for Alex. She has stated that I must inform you that the reason it is her favourite book this week is that it was sent home as her School Reading Book this week and has reminded her as to how much she loves it. Her favourite chapter is ‘The Twits Are Turned Upside Down’ and the chapters that follow due to the animals getting their own back on The Twits! Have to say I agree with her!!!
