Another installment of kids books reviews. I’ve talked to my 8 year old daughter about how she would feel if I devoted a Saturday post to books she recommends and she was all for it. This week she recommends The Magical World of Amy Lee.

For any parents out there who don’t know who Amy Lee is  she is a British Youtuber who makes content about video games. I have watched her and personally I thoroughly enjoy her videos. She is very conscious that her audience is predominantly children, I have even heard her call out her commenters on how they shouldn’t be rude/mean to each other.

This book is really sweet, I really enjoyed reading through it prior to giving it to my daughter. Page 44 is called ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ and here she lists her top 10 random acts of kindness then there is a section for the child to write their random acts of kindness. We also have activities that can be done with parents (or by the child alone if they are able), stories, games, crafts…the list goes on. At the start of the book she has a section on staying safe online which is fantastic in my opinion!

I really recommend this book for kids even if they aren’t watching her on Youtube. At the end of the book you are told that you  are a ‘Cute Recruit’ and there is a ‘Cute Recruit Certificate’ for the child to fill their name in and date.
