I want to thank the lovely Chloe nominating me for the Sunshine Award due to my last post, ‘The Day I Fell Down the Toilet’ . I have to say this poem does make me giggle!

What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?

Chloe: What made you start blogging?

Me: Sheer boredom! I started on a blogging site solely for the benefit of updating family and friends around the world updates on my newborn daughter through the first year of her life but from her aspect. I enjoyed it but as she got past the age of one and was already walking along with the rest I felt there was no need to continue and therefore I took to Tumblr to fill up my ‘blogging time’. After a bit on there I kinda forgot about it, due to my Mum passing away, and so ended blogging for a couple of years. About 2 or 3 years ago I started my Rambling Lisa blog (which is unavailable at the moment) writing about lifestyle, beauty/makeup and parenting..or whatever else came into my head but again life took over and I found that I actually couldn’t keep up with writing about the same stuff only in different ways, it wasn’t making me happy. A few months ago I sat down and thought about what do I actually want to do within this blogosphere we are in and thought BOOKS! I love my books and I love talking about them so why not write about something I truly enjoy therefore I wouldn’t get bored!

Chloe: What’s your favourite flower?

Me: Ooooh jeepers, this is a tough one. I love Peony Roses, they remind me of my Grandfather. However, we also have Orchids, Lupins, Calla Lillies…… I can’t knock this down to just one flower, I love gardening.

Chloe: If you could be any movie character, who would you be and why?

Me: I want to say Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider movies. I’d love to be an adventurer, travel the world and get to be a bad ass when I need to be!

Chloe: If you could tell your younger self a message, what would it be?

Me: Ah whats with these hard questions?! I could tell myself to cherish every moment with my parents as I would lose them far too early or I could tell myself to try adding chilli to chocolate desserts however if I did tell myself these things then I wouldn’t have the life I have now. I wouldn’t tell my younger self a single thing because regardless of how hard life was at points or how wonderful a wee family I have ended up with I wouldn’t have gotten there without living the life that I have or learning the lessons that went with it.

Chloe: What would you miss more: internet or tv?

Me: EASY! I don’t watch much T.V. and sure these days anything that is on the T.V. can be watched online anyways 🙂

Chloe: Are you a MacBook lover or a PC lover?

Me: I have never in my life used any Apple computers so I have to say PC.

Chloe: What’s your favourite type of cake?

Me: Lemon drizzle, Black Forest Gateau or the cake that GLaDOS promises! (Gamers will get the GLaDOS cake reference!!)

Chloe: Winter or Summer?

Me: Winter! I love winter clothing, early nights, hot chocolate, snuggling up in front of the fire with a book….

Chloe: If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be and who would you be with?

Me: This sounds so trite but I wouldn’t care where it was as long as I was with my husband and daughter…oh and the dogs can’t forget them!!

Chloe: If aliens abducted you and asked you to give them one good reason why they shouldn’t annihilate the human race, what would humanity’s saving grace be?

Me: Oh come on!!!!!! That would have to be me! They wouldn’t have me to bake for them, read them stories, make them lovely meals……. Actually, the world itself should be what saves humanity. Yes, we have bad things in this world but for every bad thing there are millions of wonderful things. The food places that are complete dives but serve amazing food, the forests full of animals and amazing flora/fauna, the people in the third world working hard for next to nothing but you can see have pure love for their families and community…. there is so much in this world that is amazing and can’t be found anywhere else in the universe so why not look at it, as a whole, and think it deserves to stay in existence?!

Kiley because she is young but wise beyond her years and I have learned a thing or 2 from her. Plus she’s a fellow Christian and it is nice to see that she doesn’t hold back in stating that.

Fernanda because her posts always make me smile and her Sunday Quotes are awesome. Plus I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her and she is adorable!

Emma because she taught me to accept myself for who I am regardless of my size, she really is an inspiration.

Christina because she has an awesome blog and has just released a kick ass book that everyone needs to read!
