Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny by Holly Madison

A former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner describes how her years inside the Playboy Mansion went from a fairytale of A-list celebrity parties to an oppressive regime of strict rules, scheduled sex, and a total loss of identity, so much so that she even contemplated suicide.

IF everything in this book is, in fact, real then I feel very sorry for Holly and what she went through living with Hugh Hefner and other girlfriends/playmates however if it is nothing more than something she wrote to get sales it is still a very good read. From reading it I did get the feeling it was very real although I did watch ‘Girls Next Door’ and her love for Hef seemed genuine which makes it hard to know.
You could look at it as her being someone who had been in a relationship where she ended up believing the love she was feeling was real and until she was away from the ‘Mansion’ didn’t realise just how bad she actually had it.I did really enjoy the book, be it real or for sales, and would highly recommend it if you would like some insight to the goings on of the ‘Playboy Mansion’. She revels alot of very sick and sad goings on including things like how the carpets and everything else, including beds and mattresses, in the house date back to when it was bought and regardless of how destroyed things are Hef refused to refurbish the house. The goings on of the sex lives is very sad too, it isn’t anything more than we would expect from a man like Hef but being honest it is very depraved.I couldn’t imagine living how these girls have lived, be it Holly or other girlfriends, in a house that was in such a state plus the other goings on that I am going to leave to your imagination until you decide to read this book.
I do want to state this book is in my donate pile!!
